We met them at Starbuck’s for their initial consultation. We thought they looked familiar when they showed up but we couldn’t quite place them. Then they told us that they were friends of some previous clients and were actually in their wedding that we had shot! We love when previous clients can send their friends to us, that’s the ultimate compliment!
During that meeting there was just something about the way they looked at each other. The way the smiled at each other. Their smiles are just so contagious. And we loved hearing their story! The way he proposed on top of a rock in Brown County. They were with other friends that got to watch the proposal unfold! The way she was already nervous because someone had a phone pointed right at them so she just knew something was up. But, she didn’t care! Hearing their story made us fall in love with them too.
And then the day we got to shoot their engagement session, we just knew how it would go! And they didn’t disappoint. I mean, when your client shows up in a tulle skirt and a sport coat with jeans, you just know they’re ready to rock some photos! They laughed, they danced and they snuggled up to stay warm. After all, it was a chilly fall day. But they fell into each other like they were old pros. There was barely any coaching on poses, there was hardly any your hand here your hand there. No, they already knew how to show off their love. It made our job easy!
Even as we post this we are falling in love with this session all over again. We are so honored that they have asked us to tell their story to the whole world! It is why we do what we do. Shelby & Ryan, thank you guys for enduring the cold temps and for allowing us to take, what must have sounded like an odd request, photos of your beautiful ring with some hot peppers! But the session just called for it!
Now, we can’t wait until March to shoot your wedding at the amazing 1899 here in Indy. Until that day, enjoy a little peek at our time together during their engagement session!
