We are so thrilled to finally get to show off our FIRST destination wedding which took place at the gorgeous Pavillion at Mixon Farm in Bradenton, FL. Our day started in the farm house which is on the property. It has been remodeled using elements from the original farm house which was built in 1908. From the ship lap wall in the living room created from salvaged wood to the master bath which could fit probably 14 people according to Kate, it created the perfect atmosphere for the bridal party to get ready. The farm house made some amazing pictures as we kicked this special day off.
After getting ready we got to head over to the venue. A large pavillion next to the gazebo where they became husband and wife. Surrounded by palm trees, tropical walk ways, a koi pond and of course the orange grove. OH, and we’d be doing a disservice if we didn’t tell you to go inside and get some of their world famous orange ice cream, YUM!! The day was just perfect. Filled with sun, a cool breeze and beautiful people. We couldn’t have asked for more.
You may recall from our earlier blog post, we had so much fun photographing their engagement session this past fall. They flew all the way up here to Indiana to have some pictures taken capturing the fall colors the midwest blesses us with. It was such an honor for us to be asked to capture the love these two have for each other. They’re two of the sweetest and most genuine people you could ever hope to meet!
